gift jewelr

watches brand & Sohn, the small watch manufacture from Kalbe in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany starts the new year with two new key people joining the firm.Following the steady increase of demand for the handcrafted timepieces, owner and master giftmaker Dirk Dornblüth hired an additional watchmaker to assist in the development and assembly of the movements.Klaus Kontzog is well known to the house of Dornblüth since he went to watch school with Dirk and also learned under the supervision of father Dieter Dornblüth.“I am glad to reunite with Klaus again” says Dirk Dornblüth “as he is a perfect match for our small manufacture.I just know I can trust his excellent skills.”The second important addition to the firm is Hartmut Kraft, a German and American lawyer with great expertise in both the U.S. and European markets.Mr. Kraft takes over the entire operational business of the manufacture, including international sales and customer care.Dornblüth mentioned that “it is a stroke of luck” that he met Mr. Kraft and could convince him to join the manufacture.Mr. Kraft plans to keep the slow growth rate of the small company and said he would first put all of the authorized dealers under close scrutiny. “We had first cases of unauthorized market supply and I will certainly seek to eliminate this tendency.”While larger groups could afford or even plan to include this distribution channel it is a matter of sheer existence for a manufacture as small as D. Dornblüth & Sohn.“We want to stay small in order to preserve our independence” Mr. Kraft adds and explains that he already explores alternative sources of supply of standard components. The current line of D. Dornblüth & gift jewelr is based on two models and will be amended with a modified small second version and a large date model later this year.
